Live Scan is the process of capturing fingerprints electronically. With our advanced Live Scan  machine, an applicant’s fingerprints are securely transmitted to a government agency, which  performs a criminal history background check using an Automated Fingerprint Identification System  (AFIS). 

Applicants must get instructions and the forms (Request for Live Scan Service Form) required for  fingerprinting services from the agency requiring their criminal history background check.
